Oncology Nurse - Grace + Depth

Published: Fri, 10/13/17

I had lunch with a friend the other day, a Leo with a Scorpio Moon. She's an oncology nurse, recently retired after nearly forty years of service.

I was telling her about my situation which is horrifying by any standard.  She said she was surprised I was doing as well as I am. I told her I was surprised myself but had come to this point.

"I can't talk about it much," I explained. "When I do talk, I try very hard to do something other than whine. I try to keep it short and interesting so people will still talk to me. I don't want to be dumping on anyone..."

And then I asked her how she felt hearing the latest.  "I don't get a lot of feedback for obvious reasons," I explained.

She said, "It is interesting. And very sad.  And it makes me think about how lucky I am."

I'm telling you this story because it's a great example of the energy of next weekend's new moon in Libra.  You can see the social aspect (Libra), the detachment and independence (Uranus in Aries), and how she communicates her gratitude (Mercury conjunct Jupiter in Scorpio).

She drove us to lunch, she's a neighbor.  When she dropped me off, she told me if I needed her, to call her at any time.  "I'm right there," she said, nodding across the highway.  Mercury rules neighbors. Mine is generous (Jupiter).

"I know," I said. "I am okay right now, but someday I will call you."

This new moon is something else. Grace plus depth. I have Libra... and a packed 8th house.

This may be the best weekend of the year for someone like me. You may feel the same.

There is also the possibility for a love-at-first-sight collision.  Check the Transit Watch here: New Moon Effects By House.
