Astrology And My Class On Memes

Published: Wed, 03/29/17

"Memes float around in human culture where they grow, replicate, mutate, compete, or become extinct."

- Richard Dawkins in The Selfish Gene, 1976

Recently, I took a class on memes.  If you come up with a meme that catches on, they're ridiculously effective in influencing groups of people, for generations in some cases.

The stellium in Aries will start to break up today. This is one thing I love about astrology. You see clearly, you're not stuck with a certain situation.  You're not stuck in a meme.

The planets move on. They change how they interact with each other. They set a great example of how you can change how you interact with people and things in your environment.

By "things" I mean ideas (Mercury) and beliefs (Jupiter).  You can also develop new tastes (Venus), goals (Saturn) or methods of operation (Mars).  If you can internalize this, you'll find it empowers you in a way that is out of this world.

Think about this today as the Moon leaves Aries for Taurus to join Mars in the sign.  Tomorrow, these bodies will trine Pluto in Capricorn. This is a great setup for anyone who wants to get something done.

The "something" can exist in the physical world - think heavy lifting. But this can also be a time when you dig deep to attack psychological blocks that are hindering your progress.

If you want something to look forward to, check out the Full Moon in Libra where Luck Meets Destiny. I'm a little early with this, but this is another event worth thinking about and Jupiter looks ahead.

It's also likely I have an oddball (astrological) view on it. I won't apologize for this. I've been looking at charts almost my entire life. I see what I see.
