Recently, I worked with a young woman; she was a serious character. She had a bunch of Capricorn and Saturn contacting her Sun and Moon.

She didn't present herself (to men) as a serious character, or even necessarily see herself that way. She characterized herself as sort of a lightweight fairy type.

I'm sure she did this due to fear of rejection. I don't mean she'd hide herself from men, I mean she'd hide herself, period. No one is supposed to like a serious character...

In reality, once you're into your 20's, nothing could be further from the truth. People realize on some level, they're an adult. You don't hear about this in the media, but you sure do here in real life. Because people need real things in real life.

They need help paying bills. They need someone who has realistic expectations, someone who can potentially be pleased.

I've moved to the south where it's sort of counter-culture to what the media says and what astrology-world is like, generally speaking. I'll tell you exactly what I mean...

I hear men speak with pride about their wives cooking or ability to take care of the house. It's understood that the man has his end of the deal to uphold. Together they function. They build themselves some security and maybe some wealth over time.

Now if you're a man who wants this kind of life, you are most definitely looking for someone with some substance to them. An asset not a liability.

I write this so if you're a serious character, you might consider flaunting it rather than hoping no one finds out.  We are what we are and it's not accidental!
