Mercury retrograde periods are variable as far as the power or the potency or the effects they have. This upcoming Mercury rx period is going to be particularly nutty.
Watch as crazy looks sane and sane is crazy. You may be backing up when going forward or it might be the exact opposite. Mercury-ruled things (including Gemini and Virgo) are going to be highly unpredictable, but ideas may be truly brilliantly quirky. This period begins on January 14th. On a completely different plane, there will be a full moon in Cancer on January 17th. Pluto is involved with this. I think it will be another point in time where people are "marked". I've elaborated here: Full Moon Power.
The full moon will hit the battered late degrees of cardinal signs. If you have planets there as I do, you probably see the slow train coming.
These two events seem to clash but may complement each other when it's all said and done.
How?
With Mercury retrograde, the train can derail. We just don't know. There are a lot of reversals and head-fakes waiting to happen. Never mind Mercury will station direct at 24 Capricorn, close to the degree of the full moon. This whole month is something else!
